    European Award Season Internship

    The European Film Academy brings together filmmakers and cinema professionals from across Europe and promotes, celebrates and protects European cinema culture through its year-round activities and the annual European Film Awards. We are looking for a motivated and organised intern to join our Berlin office.

    Duration
    6 month full-time internship
    From 15 September 2026 until the end of January

    Purpose of the post
    In preparation for the European Award Season and the European Film Awards 2027, the European Film Academy is looking for an intern to join the team.

    Your responsibilities

    • Assisting with the planning and coordination of Academy activities and events
    • Supporting member relations and communications
    • Assisting with research
    • Supporting the preparation of meetings, presentations, and reports
    • Helping coordinate projects related to the European Film Awards and other Academy initiatives
    • Assisting with content creation and communications activities
    • Supporting the team in day-to-day administrative and organisational tasks

    Requirements

    • Enrolled at a university or higher education institution and required to complete a mandatory internship (in Germany: Pflichtpraktikum) as part of your studies
    • Strong interest in film, culture, and the European audiovisual sector
    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
    • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital  collaboration tools
    • Familiarity with graphic design, content creation, and social media management tools is an advantage
    • Additional European languages are a plus

    Compensation
    As this internship is a mandatory part of an academic programme, remuneration is not legally required under German labour law. Nevertheless, the European Film Academy provides a voluntary stipend of €300 per month for the duration of the internship.
