PLEASE NOTE:

Accreditation to the European Film Awards is limited to people who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or who have recovered after a Covid-19 infection – provided they do not show typical Covid-19 symptoms.

A proof of vaccination or recovery must be digitally verifiable with an EU Digital COVID Certificate – printed QR codes are also digitally verifiable.

The mask requirement and the requirement to maintain a minimum distance will then no longer apply indoors.

By submitting the accreditation form, the media representative accepts and agrees to the following:

The entered and transmitted personal data will be stored in the European Film Academy database and used to contact you in connection with the accreditation process and for information purposes concerning the European Film Awards.

Representative’s name, media outlet and country may be passed on to other accredited media representatives, to our partners, sponsors and funding institutions, as well as to the agents of the nominees and winners of the European Film Awards. Furthermore, this information may be stored in order to fulfill our reporting obligations to the funding institutions and for other statistical evaluation.

Other personal data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for retaining such data ceases to apply, i.e. four weeks after the European Film Awards took place. Notwithstanding the generality of the foregoing, data may be stored if required by Union of Member State law to which we are subject.

Data will also be blocked or deleted if a retention period prescribed by laws and regulations expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion of fulfillment of a contract.

Participating in the European Film Awards implies the unconditional acceptance of the above conditions.

Emerging Membership Criteria

Applicants must be under 36 years of age and have received noteworthy credits as head of department for their work on at least one feature-length cinema production (70+ minutes) or three short films (fiction, documentary, or animation). These films must have had an official screening in a regular international section of a competitive FIAPF-accredited European film festival or at one of the partner festivals of the European Academy Short Film Network, or have been nominated by a national film academy. Film students are not excluded from membership if they are fulfilling the membership eligibility criteria. The board of the European Film Academy reserves the right to make exceptions to the membership regulations.
New members are required to choose the category in which they would like to be listed. The available sections are: - Actor / Actress - Casting Director - Cinematographer - Composer - Costume Designer - Critic / Journalist - Director - Distributor/Exhibitor - Editor - Festival - Hair & Make-Up Artist - International Sales Agent - Producer - Production Designer - Screenwriter - Sound Designer - Talent Agent - Visual Effects Supervisor - Institutional (film schools, funding institutions, etc.)
Nominees and European Film Awards winners are eligible to join the European Film Academy.
Nominees and winners of European national film awards are eligible to become members in the above-mentioned categories.
Applicants have to be European or have worked continuously in Europe for at least five years or have another strong connection to European cinema.
The European Film Academy decides on applicants from other areas of the film industry on an individual basis.
The Academy may require recommendations or additional information in support of the candidacy.
Only European filmmakers or film professionals who fulfil the membership criteria are invited. Film professionals interested in becoming a member can reach out to the Academy team.
