Voting members of the European Film Academy are European film professionals whose work is recognised in Europe, who declare their willingness to actively support the aims of the Academy and to participate in the Academy’s training and promotional activities.

At present, the European Film Academy embraces 5,000 European film professionals – actors, actresses, casting directors, cinematographers, composers, costume designers, film critics and journalists, directors, distributors, editors, exhibitors, festival directors and programmers, hair & make-up artists, institutionals (film schools, funding institutions, etc.), international sales agents, producers, production designers, screenwriters, sound designers, talent agents, and visual effects supervisors.

The annual membership fee is 225 € (100 € for members under the age of 36). This contribution supports the work of the European Film Academy as well as the procedures of the European Film Awards and the awards ceremony.

If you wish to join the European Film Academy, please check the membership criteria below and complete the membership application form, if you fully meet them.

Due to the large number of applications we are currently receiving, it may take some time to process your application, but we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please understand that sending a follow-up e-mail cannot speed up the process. Thank you for your patience!
