A Sunday in the Country 2026 Cyprus
A Sunday in the Country 2026 Cyprus
Lefkara, 5 – 8 June 2026
The Cypriot edition of A SUNDAY IN THE COUNTRY, hosted by the Cyprus Cinema Office at the Department of Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture together with the European Film Academy, took our group to Lefkara, a picturesque mountain village famoushttps://cypruscinemaoffice.cy/ for its narrow stone-paved streets, traditional architecture, and centuries-old lace-making craft known as “Lefkaritika.” It was a journey not only into the countryside of this amazingly diverse country, but also deep into sharing and learning from watching and talking about each other’s films and honest experiencies. What a truly diverse and genuine European cinematic weekend!
