The European Film Academy and the Drama International Short Film Festival congratulate:

Candidate of Drama International Short Film Festival
FAVOURITES
FAVORITEN
Austria/Germany, fiction, 18 min

WRITTEN & DIRECTED BY Martin Monk
PRODUCED BY Michaela Finis

After falling out with her mother, rebellious Sofia hitchhikes southwards in search of the father she never had.

FAVOURITES was selected by jury of the International Competition Section of the 43rd Drama Short Film Festival, consisting of Pawel Pawlikowski, Themis Bazaca, Lefteris Charitos, Lena Divani and Stergios Paschos, "for its simplicity, solid construction and its great actors."

The film is now a candidate for a nomination in the category 'European Short Film' at the 33rd European Film Awards.

The EFA Short Film Programme is organised by the European Film Academy and EFA Productions in co-operation with a series of film festivals throughout Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a candidacy in the short film category of the European Film Awards.

When the annual cycle is completed, the participating festivals will nominate five short films from this list. Afterwards, the 3,800 EFA Members – film professionals from all over Europe – will vote for the overall winner that will be presented at the 33rd European Film Awards Ceremony.
