Tampere Picks MEMORABLE

The European Film Academy and the Tampere Film Festival congratulate:

Candidate of Tampere Film Festival
France, animation, 13 min

Recently, Louis, painter, and his wife Michelle are experiencing strange events. Their world seems to be mutating. Slowly, furniture, objects, people lose their realism. They are de-structuring, sometimes disintegrating …

MEMORABLE was selected by the festival's international jury – film journalist Marta Bałaga (Poland/Finland), professor Pauline Claque (University of Technology, Sydney), filmmaker Angello Faccini (Colombia), filmmaker/lecturer Ng'endo Mukii (Kenya) and former general secretary of the Promotion Centre for Audiovisual Culture (Finland): "For drawing from masters of European fine art to emulate the disappearance of memories, the loss of context, in a world defined by the brushstrokes of life."

The film is now a candidate for a nomination in the category 'European Short Film' at the 33rd European Film Awards.

The EFA Short Film Programme is organised by the European Film Academy and EFA Productions in co-operation with a series of film festivals throughout Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a candidacy in the short film category of the European Film Awards.

The next candidate for 2020 will be presented in co-operation with the Go Short - International Short Film Festival Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

When the annual cycle is completed, the participating festivals will nominate five short films from this list. Afterwards, the 3,800 EFA Members – film professionals from all over Europe – will vote for the overall winner that will be presented at the 33rd European Film Awards Ceremony in Reykjavik.
