From here, you can see everything: the sea to the right, the mountains to the left, the sky in between.

The jury for the Tiger Awards Competition for Short Films was comprised of British artist, filmmaker and two-time winner of this award Beatrice Gibson, Dutch programmer and curator Xander Karskens, and artistic director of Image Forum Festival Koyo Yamashita from Japan.

The jury selected OUR BODY as their nomination for the European Film Awards "for its raw and direct confrontation with its own subject, its interweaving of the literary and the philosophical, and compelling juxtaposition of the gentle and the abrupt."

The film is now nominated for the award 'European Film Academy Short Film 2015'. It joins the following films which were already nominated:

Ghent Short Film Nominee
by Konstantina Kotzamani
Greece 2014, 24’, fiction

Valladolid Short Film Nominee
by José Luis Montesinos
Spain 2014, 12 min, fiction

Cork Short Film Nominee
by Ewa Weber
UK 2014, 20 min, fiction

The EFA short film initiative is organised by the European Film Academy in co-operation with a series of film festivals throughout Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presents one of the European short films in competition with a nomination in the short film category of the European Film Awards.

The next nomination for 2015 will be presented in co-operation with the International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand.

When the annual cycle is completed, the nominees will be presented to the over 3,000 members of the European Film Academy and it is they who will elect the overall winner: the European Film Academy Short Film 2015 which will be presented at the 28th European Film Awards Ceremony on 12 December in Berlin.
