    Tabán art cinema in Budapest

    Tabán art cinema is one of the first and now the only arthouse cinema on the Buda side of Budapest. It first opened around 1910-12. Tabán has two screening rooms. One has 76 seats, the other has 30 seats. It is one of the smallest cinemas in Budapest. It offers a time travel experience with renovated chairs inside the larger screening room and in the lobby.

    Tabán is one of the cosiest cinemas, featuring many mood lights and plants. Blankets are provided in the screening room for guests. The lobby includes a café offering a wide range of drinks and snacks, such as coffee, tea, cocktails, beers, and wines.

    Tabán arthouse cinema also has one of the last working videotheques in Budapest with more than 1,200 films.
