Purpose of the post
The contractor will work with the European Film Academy on implementing brand new Sponsoring strategies, with the aim to establish partnerships with companies and brands that convey and amplify the Academy’s new positioning as a central and key player in promoting European film to general audiences, including young audiences, as well as registered members of the Academy.
Since 2021, the European Film Academy finds itself in a huge transformation process in a quickly changing film industry that has brought new opportunities and challenges alike. To increase its impact and reach, the Academy raises funds and support from a variety of sources. As such, fostering effective corporate sponsorships and wider partnership working is becoming an important area for the Academy. Through strategic sponsoring and partnerships, we want to join forces with key brands that strengthen the communication strategies of the Academy. Your role will be key in achieving these partnerships and to maintain them.

The European Film Academy seeks to support and connect its members and celebrates and promotes their work. Its aims are to share knowledge and educate audiences of all ages about European cinema. Positioning itself as a leading organisation and facilitating crucial debates within the industry, the Academy strives to unite everyone who loves European film.
Our headquarters are based in Berlin, but our team consists also of people working in various other European cities. For this position, living and working as part of our Berlin-based team is preferred. The European Film Academy is actively working on diversifying its team and wishes to include new colleagues regardless of their gender, socio-economic background, nationality, race, age, sexual orientation or disability.
