    Diversity and Inclusion Officer

    Purpose
    The contractor will work with the European Film Academy on developing and implementing concrete and consequent Diversity and Inclusion policies and actions, with the aim to increase the outreach and equal impact of the work the Academy does, predominantly in all 52 European countries where we are active. This is part of the Academy’s new positioning as a central and key player in promoting European film to general and diverse audiences, including young audiences, as well as registered members of the Academy.

    Since 2021, the European Film Academy finds itself in a huge transformation process in a quickly changing film industry that has brought new opportunities and challenges alike. To increase its impact and reach, the Academy starts building audiences beyond its traditional business to business peer groups. As Diversity and Inclusion Officer, your work will play a pivotal role in transforming the Academy into and becoming an inclusive organisation, with projects that testify to this and make people all over Europe experience they belong, they are represented and cinema is for everybody, in all ways possible.

    The European Film Academy seeks to support and connect its members and celebrates and promotes their work. Its aims are to share knowledge and educate audiences of all ages about European cinema. Positioning itself as a leading organisation and facilitating crucial debates within the industry, the Academy strives to unite everyone who loves European film.

    Our headquarters are based in Berlin, but our team consists also of people working in various other European cities. For this position, living and working as part of our Berlin-based team is preferred. The European Film Academy is actively working on diversifying its team and wishes to include new colleagues regardless of their gender, socio-economic background, nationality, race, age, sexual orientation or disability.
