    The 35th European Film Awards in Reykjavik

    The European Film Awards 2022 will be celebrated in Reykjavik – Iceland’s capital and the world’s northernmost capital city. The surrounding area is home to roughly 212,000 people, which is about two thirds of Iceland’s total population. The ceremony will take place in the Harpa Conference and Concert Hall, together with various side events in connection with European film production.

    The weekend programme traditionally includes film screenings with Q&As and a film gala for the public and a reception on Friday night, as well as the awards ceremony and an after-show party for guests.

    The European Film Awards 2022 are presented by the European Film Academy and European Film Academy Productions in co-operation with the Government of Iceland, the City of Reykjavik, the Icelandic Film Centre and Meet in Reykjavik with the support of the Creative Europe MEDIA Sub-Programme of the EU, German Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, FFA German Federal Film Board, German State Lottery Berlin, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Icelandair and Icelandair Hotels.

    The Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, 8 November.

    The Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, 10 December, in Reykjavik.
