Accreditation to the European Film Awards is limited to people who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or who have recovered after a Covid-19 infection – provided they do not show typical Covid-19 symptoms.

A proof of vaccination or recovery must be digitally verifiable with an EU Digital COVID Certificate – printed QR codes are also digitally verifiable.

The mask requirement and the requirement to maintain a minimum distance will then no longer apply indoors.

By submitting the accreditation form, the media representative accepts and agrees to the following:

The entered and transmitted personal data will be stored in the European Film Academy database and used to contact you in connection with the accreditation process and for information purposes concerning the European Film Awards.

Representative’s name, media outlet and country may be passed on to other accredited media representatives, to our partners, sponsors and funding institutions, as well as to the agents of the nominees and winners of the European Film Awards. Furthermore, this information may be stored in order to fulfill our reporting obligations to the funding institutions and for other statistical evaluation.

Other personal data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for retaining such data ceases to apply, i.e. four weeks after the European Film Awards took place. Notwithstanding the generality of the foregoing, data may be stored if required by Union of Member State law to which we are subject.

Data will also be blocked or deleted if a retention period prescribed by laws and regulations expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion of fulfillment of a contract.

A Sunday in the Country 2026 in Poland with visiting director Dane Komljen

In this special version of A SUNDAY IN THE COUNTRY, young film critics & journalists come together for an extended weekend of screenings and discussions. Presented in co-operation with the Tauron New Horizons IFF, this was already the 15^th edition to bring eight participants to the Polish countryside.

They spent the days watching films and discussing them, cinema and cinephilia in general, and life as a film journalist. In between there was cooking and eating together, and networking in a cottage by the Bystrzyckie lake.

After an introduction circle on Friday night, the screening programme started on Saturday morning with BEAUTIFUL AND NEAT ROOM by Maria Petsching and talking to the Austrian director about her experiences with film criticism, the financing of her film, finding the right roommate, and shooting a film in a tiny apartment.

In the afternoon, A RIVER’S GAZE (Malul Vânăt) by Andreea Cristina Bortun was screened. The director talked about a sense of belonging, filming in such a remote location, and working with non-professional actors.

After breakfast on Sunday, the group watched DESIRE LINES (Linije želje) by Dane Komljen. The participants then discussed with the director the relationship between filmmaker, audience and critic, the element of cruising in the film, and the dreamlike forest life depicted in it.

The final film was TELL ME WHAT YOU FEEL (Powiedz mi, co czujesz) by Łukasz Ronduda. The curator and director talked about the artists portrayed in the film – Patryk Różycki and Karolina Balcer, the connections between contemporary art, cinema, and criticism, as well as concepts of intimacy and vulnerability addressed in the film.

The participants were two Polish winners of the Krzysztof Mętrak competition, Maciej Kędziora and Paweł Służewski, as well as Alex Mazereeuw (Netherlands), Carles Martínez Agenjo (Spain), Silvija Butkutè (Lithuania), Tibor Đurđev (Croatia), Vanja Gajić (Slovenia) and Viktor Morozov (Romania). Expert for this edition was the film journalist and festival programmer Léo Soesanto from France.

The project was organised by the European Film Academy and New Horizons Association with the support of the Polish Film Institute, the local cultural institutes and the Krzysztof Mętrak competition for young film critics.
