Composer and Conductor Ivan Palomares was born in Spain, but with a solid French connection, as half of his family comes from the South of France.

With a such a Mediterranean blend, he has developed his career in both the concert and the media venue, both in Europe and overseas.

Seduced by the narrative possibilities of music in cinema at an early age (coming back from the movies to playback and “recompose” the soundtrack he had just heard), he has not only developed his skills as a musician, but also learned the craft of filmmaking and drama acting, giving him a unique understanding of Cinema and the ability to conceive music for screen from several points of view.

His works and projects have caught the attention from several producers and directors all around the world, and his versatility in any given genre of music has earned him national and international reconnaissance such as the Harold Arlen Film and TV Award in the US (granted by the Ascap Foundation) or, more recently, the Spanish Academy “GOYA” Award nomination for his Music on “En las Estrellas” (Up among the Stars), feature film produced by Cult Filmmaker Alex de la Iglesia.

His credits include the International Emmy Award Nominee TV Series Date Blind, the Documentary Series “A World Apart”, “Pacific” or “Water Life”, and is often asked to participate in other composer’s Film, TV and Videogame projects as a music producer, orchestrator or conductor.

His Music has been performed by some of the finest musicians from Hollywood and Spain such as the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra and, as conductor, he has performed and recorded in some of the best Scoring Stages and venues such as Fox Studio’s Famed Newman Scoring Stage, the historic Eastwood Stage at Warner Bros, or the Spanish National Auditorium
