Costume Design with Paco Delgado

As part of the 5th Visegrad Film Forum, a special EFA Master Class in the beginning of April presented Paco Delgado and his work. The internationally recognized Canarian costume designer has  received a European Film Award for BLANCANIEVES and has been nominated twice for an Oscar and for a BAFTA -  for LES MISERABLES in 2013, and for THE DANISH GIRL in 2016.

He talked about his work and how important film costumes are: "Costume design is an important part of story-telling," he said, "we help to create characters."

BLANCANIEVES, he told the approx. 40 participants, was a special challenge, as it was a black & white production, whereas "for films like Pedro Almodóvar's BAD EDUCATION you can communicate a lot with colour".
