Every year, the various activities of the European Film Academy culminate in the presentation of the European Film Awards. The Awards Ceremony takes place in Berlin every second year. In 2006, after London, Paris, Rome and Barcelona, the European Film Awards travelled to Eastern Europe for the first time, taking place in Warsaw. In 2007, the European Film Awards returned to Berlin for their 20th anniversary.
